(CHICAGO) Mayor Emanuel has raised the curtain on his next big project, express train service between downtown and O’Hare airport.
In a taping for “Connected to Chicago” on WLS, which airs Sunday at 7 p.m., Emanuel told Bill Cameron he is moving ahead with engineering studies, to begin to make that premium service happen.
“To have the one airport with an express rail service will put Chicago, the airport, and it’s business community like Hong Kong, like Heathrow, in a place where we compete at that top tier world class capacity. And O’Hare from talent to transportation technology Chicago’s a world class city and we gotta keep investing in that future to win it. “
The Mayor also said he doesn’t see the police brutality and school finance issues as crises, but rather as challenges and opportunities.
