Chicago’s Talk Station, WLS-AM, has announced the addition of Erich ‘Mancow’ Muller to the weekday line-up.  Beginning Monday October 27^th, Muller will replace Jerry Agar in the 9a-11a slot leading into Rush Limbaugh.  Former WBBM-AM anchor Pat Cassidy, a recent addition to The Big 89, will co-host with Muller for the first week.

Muller has filled-in at The Big 89 in recent years while hosting his syndicated morning program and contributed to Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” and WTTW’s “Chicago Tonight.”

Muller’s recent on-air guests have included Presidential nominees Barack Obama & John McCain, movie stars Jon Voight & Dennis Hopper and pop-culture icons Hulk Hogan & David Hasselhoff. 

“This will bring lots of energy to the station,” said WLS-AM President and General Manager Mike Fowler.  “It’s a younger version of Rush, with some Roe Conn thrown in.”

In addition to his radio work, Mancow has appeared on a wide range of television programs including “Politically Incorrect,” “Jerry Springer,” “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “Hard Copy.”  Mancow is also the author of a best-selling book, “Dad, Dames, Demons and a Dwarf,” and has written for national magazines.

The midday stint at WLS-AM is his first full-time gig since he left WKQX-FM in July of 2006 as morning host.
