A woman is suing Burger King and an employee of the Lincoln Park restaurant, accusing the employee of sticking his head under the bathroom stall door while she was inside.
The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Cook County Circuit Court. It states that on Feb. 15, 2013, while the plaintiff was using the women’s restroom in the Burger King at 1401 W. Fullerton, a man who worked there poked his head underneath the stall door.
The employee “subjected Plaintiff to extreme and outrageous conduct,” the suit stated.
Burger King was negligent in allowing the employee to violate the woman’s privacy, the suit stated.
A representative for Burger King declined to comment, citing company policy not to discuss pending litigation.
The 15-count suit alleges negligence, invasion of privacy and infliction of emotional distress. It seeks more than $750,000 in damages.
