Gas Prices; How Low Will They Go?

(CHICAGO) Gas prices, over the holiday weekend, were the lowest that they’ve been, during that period, in over a decade and some think they will keep falling.

The Whiting BP Plant is back on-line, we’ll see the switchover to the less costly winter gas blend, and as long as crude oil prices stay low – business correspondent Christine Romans says, “The path of least resistance for gas prices is lower and I think you’re going to have $2.00, I say, by Halloween.”

AAA Motor Club says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $2.40, more than $1.00 less than it was a year ago.

The website “gasbuddy.com” says, here in Chicago, the average price is around $2.86 a gallon.
