CTA Yellow Line riders could see service restored this month.
The Yellow Line was shut down in mid-May after construction at a wastewater treatment plant led to an embankment collapse. The CTA says the line will reopen this month, but won’t set a specific date.
Once the work is complete, the transit agency will need about a week to test the tracks and signals.
In the meantime, riders have been using a shuttle bus from Dempster Street in Skokie, to the Howard Street station.
