(CHICAGO) White Sox DH Adam LaRoche has retired, leaving $13 million on the table.

LaRoche has been suffering from back spasms since early March and struggled last season batting just .207 with 12 homers.

White Sox General Manager Rick Hahn says LaRoche was asked to reconsider but says they’ll “make adjustments and move on.”

Rodon Has Surgery, Opening Day ’18 In Question

The White Sox rebuild suffered a bit of a set back with Carlos Rodon needing shoulder surgery. Fortunately for the White Sox, 2018 is still a rebuilding year.
