Work on Adams Street bridge causes sidewalk closures this weekend

(CHICAGO) Viaduct demolitions on Adams Street at the bascule bridge will require sidewalk closures over the next two weekends.

Pedestrians will be barred from using Adams Street over the Union Stations railroad tracks, the mid-block crossing and access across the bascule bridge, according to a statement from CDOT.

Access will close at 9 p.m. Friday and open again at 6 a.m. Monday. Pedestrians entering and leaving Union Station are urged to use entrances other than Adams Street, CDOT said.
