PAUL
Paul is a handsome 5-year-old Shepherd mix in search of a patient and compassionate family to call his own. After spending most of his life in a home, Paul was timid and slow to trust all the strangers he’s been meeting in his new shelter environment. With some patience and a few treats, Paul hopes to gain confidence and come out of his shell. Once he’s gotten comfortable in his new home, he will play fetch with a tennis ball for hours before crashing for a nap in the sun. He is very food-motivated and hopes that his new family will make him work for his treats in the future, he loves to learn tricks. While Paul loves his time outside, he can get spooked by loud noises and traffic and would prefer a backyard of his own to play in while he gets acclimated to his new environment. Paul would prefer a quiet, adults-only home, but enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a calm canine companion to show him that the big world isn’t so scary after all.
