Bill sits down with Willie Wilson. Wilson is a businessman, humanitarian and is running for Mayor of the City of Chicago. Wilson comments on Rahm’s time in office, and the things he can achieve if he’s elected as Mayor of Chicago. Bill and Willie discuss how Toni Preckwinkle has joined the mayor’s race, crime in Chicago, solving the pension crisis, and the concern of rising lead levels in water.

This week’s Community Spotlight is with Nick Gale, and highlights the response from Illinois in the wake of Hurricane Florence and the recovery efforts in the Carolina’s.

Illinois has dispatched the Illinois Task Force One Swift-water Team. Team leader Chuck Gros says they have made numerous rescues and are helping with temporary power and other needs.

In addition, Illinois also deployed 10 National Guard soldiers and two helicopters to assist with relief efforts.
