Illinois has dispatched the Illinois Task Force One Swift-water Team. Team leader Chuck Gros says they have made numerous rescues and are helping with temporary power and other needs.
In addition, Illinois also deployed 10 National Guard soldiers and two helicopters to assist with relief efforts.
