Tyler Spangler of Dallastown, PA is getting ready to take his first college-level calculus class – which is pretty impressive, considering he’s still in elementary school.

The 12-year-old Spangler is a gifted math whiz who enrolled in a Penn State math course after taking the ACT as a sixth grader.

Tyler showed off his mathematical gifts at an early age even though his mother says he didn’t speak until age 5. His career ambitions include mathematician, physicist, and like most kids his age, jet pilot.
