A beloved otter named Otto at a Tennessee nature preserve has dies, and officials are blaming guests who kept trying to feed it.

Officials at Bays Mountain Park say they found grapes and other food that guests would throw into Otto’s enclosure.

Park officials say Otto’s body couldn’t tolerate outside food, and that rules against feeding the animals are there for “exactly this reason”. They say the best way to honor Otto’s memory is “to calmly, kindly educate one another on the dangers of feeding wildlife”.
