Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman is behind bars in Manhattan, and authorities are making sure the infamous drug kingpin doesn’t get another chance to escape.

A federal judge has denied a request by Guzman’s lawyers that he be given better treatment in prison, including two hours of outdoor exercise each week and amenities like earplugs and bottled water. But the judge determined that Guzman was too big a risk to escape to be given access to outdoor or common areas.

Guzman famously escaped prison in Mexico twice, in 2001 and 2015. He’s current incarcerated at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.
