Bernie Sanders to Push for Higher Minimum Wage at Walmart

Walmart’s annual associates and stockholders meetings are set to begin today and the topic of higher wages will be brought forward by one U.S. Senator.

The office of Vermont Senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders confirmed he will be in attendance at the shareholders meeting today.

Sanders was invited to speak at the meeting as a proxy for the Walmart workers’ rights group, United for Respect, who wants the retail giants minimum wage upped to $15 per hour.
