A search is underway for a Car and Driver writer who disappeared while test-driving a motorcycle in Northern California.

Police found most of Davey Johnson’s belongings, as well as the motorcycle he was road-testing, near the Sierra Mountains. But Johnsons was nowhere to be found.

His girfriend says the 44-year-old Johnson last texted her Wednesday morning. A search party is using dogs, boats, and helicopters in the effort to find him.
