On Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence abruptly cancelled an appearance in New Hampshire to return to the White House, and no one is saying exactly why.

It was initially reported that Pence’s plane turned around mid-air on an “emergency callback”. But a spokesperson later said that it wasn’t an emergency and that Pence never left Washington.

While no reason for the cancellation has been given, White House officials say there is “no cause for alarm” and that it was not related to health or national security. Pence plans to reschedule the speaking date soon.
