Texas billionaire and two-time presidential hopeful H. Ross Perot died Tuesday at 89 after a battle with Leukemia. Perot made his wealth as a pioneer in the computer data industry, forming his own company in 1962.

Perot was also known for his straight-talking, feisty personality. By promising voters balanced budgets and the end of outsourced jobs, he managed to take 19% in presidential votes in 1992. Perot gave one more White House shot in 1996 after forming The Reform Party.
