Boris Johnson has been chosen by Britain’s Conservative Party to replace Theresa May as Prime Minister. Members of the party overwhelmingly chose the populist who once served in May’s cabinet before leaving over disagreements about Brexit.

May resigned two months ago after failing to reach a Brexit compromise with the European Union. May will officially resign on Wednesday. Members of May’s government have threatened to resign, rather than serve under Johnson, with her Foreign Office Minister resigning before polls were closed.
