Teens Who Killed a Motorist by Throwing Rocks from an Overpass will be Tried as Adults

Five Michigan teens who killed a man while throwing rocks from an overpass will be tried as adults, a judge has ruled.

The ruling, handed down by Judge Joseph Farah Tuesday, applies to four of the teens, all of whom were underage when the incident occurred. The fifth, Kyle Anger, was already 18 at the time. Farah’s decision came after he read SnapChat discussions between the teens that “showed little remorse.” “Lay low for a while,” Farah read aloud. “Everything will be fine. The only way we would get in trouble is if a bit*h rats. So you better hope he didn’t give in already or else we are going to the slammer.”

All five have been charged with manslaughter in the 2017 incident, which left motorist Kenneth White dead. Prosecutors say Anger threw the rock that cost White his life.
