U.S. to Compensate Farmers Hurt by China Trade War

Later this week, the U.S. government is expected to announce an aid package for farmers being hurt by the trade war with China.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue told reporters Tuesday that the package will total about $16 billion.

This would be the second round of assistance for farmers, after the Department of Agriculture’s $12 billion plan last year.
