A Florida man’s cunning plan to avoid arrest didn’t quite work out as well as he had hoped.

Deputies from Manatee County saw Jacob Hisel walking alongside the highway. Upon questioning the 26-year-old, he gave his brother’s name, thinking that would keep the cops from learning about his two warrants.

Unfortunately, Nathan Hisel was also wanted, and the police took the man into custody.

Back at the station house, officers uncovered the truth and added charges of providing false identification to law enforcement to Jacob’s rap sheet.
