Just when you thought 2019 couldn’t get any stranger – a meteor strikes.

Officials say a suspected meteorite landed in a rice paddy in the eastern India village of Mahadeva. It was about the size of a football, weighed 28 pounds, and had magnetic properties, according to researchers.

The meteorite could be a fragment from a fireball that lit up the skies of Canada with a bright flash on Wednesday.
