Study: Widely-Used Drugs Linked To Dementia Risk

A new study has linked a number of commonly-used drugs to an increased risk of dementia in people over 55.

The study looked at ‘anticholinergics’, a “broad class of medications” used in treating insomnia, bladder control, and Parkinson’s disease.

Researchers say anticholinergic drugs increased the risk of dementia by as much as 50 percent in users over the age of 55.
