While some analysts are not very optimistic, U.S. and Chinese trade negotiators will resume talks this week in an effort to end the year-long trade war.

Negotiators are flying into Shanghai for the first face-to-face talks since the two nations declared a truce at last month’s G20 summit.

For over a year, the world’s two largest economies have hit each other with billions of dollars in tariffs on imports, disrupting global supply chains and shaking financial markets as a result.
