A Delta pilot was taken off a fully-boarded plane and arrested on suspicion that he was about to fly while intoxicated.

Authorities became suspicious after the pilot, 37-year-old Gabriel Schroeder, left the TSA screening line. They later found an alcohol container in his possession after pulling him from the plane, which had boarded but not yet taken off.

Delta released a statement saying its alcohol policy “is among the strictest in the industry and we have no tolerance for violation”.
