Three people in West Virginia have been charged with forcing a pregnant teen to drink turpentine in an attempt to end her pregnancy.

According to police, the mother of the 15-year-old victim’s mother had given a 24-year-old man permission to have sex with the teen, who became pregnant. After a morning-after pill didn’t work, the teen’s aunt forced her to drink turpentine.

Now the mother and the man are both charged with sexual assault while the aunt faces charges of attempting to kill or injure by poison. The victim was hospitalized and is in custody of social services.
