The FDA is pushing to add new, graphic warning labels on cigarette packages and advertising.

The agency has prepared 13 new warnings that include images like blackened lungs, gangrenous feet, and sick children.

The FDA says the new, disturbing images will promote “greater public understanding of the negative health consequences of smoking”.

The new images could show up on packaging as early as 2021.
