Former White House communications director Sarah Huckabee Sanders is joining Fox News as a contributor.

The network announced on Thursday that Sanders would make her first appearance on a Sept. 6th episode of Fox & Friends .

Sanders, left the White House in June after two and a half years on the job, during which traditional White House press briefings mostly disappeared.

In a statement, the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said she was “beyond proud” to join Fox News’ “incredible stable of on-air contributors.”
