If you’re looking for a get away that isn’t too far away, consider Canada. Many Americans are, traveling to the True North in record numbers.

Statistics Canada says more than 12.3 million US residents have entered the country in the first half of this year alone, up 2.2 percent from the same period in 2018, the highest since 2007.

CNN notes that the US dollar is strong against the Canadian dollar, which may be driving some of the travel.

Canadians aren’t heading south however, down 2.8 percent on a year-over-year basis, the agency reports.
