A 14-year-old Alabama teen has confessed to killing his entire family in an overnight shooting.

Police with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office say the teen called police and admitted to shooting five family members. Three were found dead at the scene, while the remaining two died shortly after being airlifted to a hospital.

Investigators haven’t given a motive for the murders. They say the teen is helping them recover the weapon, a 9mm handgun he threw away nearby.
