A man who founded one of the country’s largest ‘homosexual conversion therapy’ programs has come out as gay.

McKrae Game spent 20 years running his Hope for Wholeness centers, which promised clients “freedom from homosexuality”.

But now the 51-year-old Game admits he is gay himself and has renounced his old ways, describing himself as a “religious zealot that hurt people” and saying “Conversion therapy is not just a lie, but it’s very harmful”.

Gay conversion therapy has been criticized by psychologists and is currently banned in 18 states.
