Just ahead of the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic, Beijing will open a new mega-airport.

The area south of Beijing is already home to the world’s second-busiest aviation hub with more than 100 million travelers passing through the existing Beijing Capital International Airport last year.

The new Beijing Daxing International Airport has four runways and a terminal the size of 97 soccer pitches as well as customer-service robots that will provide travelers with flight updates and airport information.
