The survivors and family members of victims in the 2017 Las Vegas shooting massacre that left 58 dead and over 800 wounded have settled with MGM Resorts for $735 million dollars. Over 2,500 plaintiffs were named in the suit.
The massacre – the worst in American history- occured at a country music festival in Las Vegas, where a man fired over 1,100 rounds from the 32nd floor of the MGM-owned Mandalay Bay Hotel into a crowd of over 22,000. The shooter took his own life before he could be apprehended.
The victims’ lawyer said his victims appreciate the settlement saying “MGM Resorts is a vlued member of the Las Vegas community and this settlement represents good corporate citizenship on their part.”
