There’s no question that the tech sector is all over the map when it comes to profits and now a legendary name has announced some substantial cuts to its workforce.

HP is cutting thousands of jobs as part of a sweeping restructuring plan that will reduce its workforce by 16%, or as many as 9,000 workers.

The tech giant currently employs some 55,000 people and is hoping the move will save about a billion-dollars by 2022.
