On Sunday, Chinese President Xi Jinping warned that any attempt to divide China would result in “crushed bodies and shattered bones”.

For months, China has been dealing with pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, which recently impacted its relationships with U.S. companies like the NBA and video game studio Blizzard.

Meanwhile, U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have expressed support for the Hong Kong protesters.
