South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in has announced that his country will spend more money to defend itself.

He also urged the North to return to dialogue since contact between North and South Korea ceased after the February summit between Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump.

Moon told parliament that South Korea will increase defense spending by 7% to more than $42 billion next year.
