NJ Students With Lunch Debt Banned From Dances And Field Trips

Some students in a New Jersey school district won’t be able to participate in extracurricular activities until their lunch debt is paid.

Cherry Hill school district will not allow students with a $75 or higher outstanding lunch bill to attend field trips, dances and other events.

This goes from elementary to high schools in the district.

The board of education made the ruling last week. Parents, students, and teachers immediately reacted negatively to the decision.
