Two California county deputies looking for a cup of coffee on Thursday night were reportedly denied service at a local Starbucks.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department took to Twitter the following day with news of the alleged “cop with no coffee” incident, writing that they’ve reached out to the chain.

Upset with what happened, Sheriff Chad Bianco retweeted the department’s message, writing, “The anti-police culture repeatedly displayed by Starbucks employees must end.”

Starbucks confirmed to KABC that baristas ignored the officers for over five minutes and issued an apology directly to those involved, adding that they would take “appropriate steps.”
