In what certainly will add fuel to the conspiracy theory fire, footage of Jeffrey Epstein’s first jail cell suicide attempt at the Metropolitan Correction Center has also gone missing.

According to TMZ , officials at the White Plains District Court made the announcement Wednesday, offering little explanation on what happened to the July 23 video.

Bruce Barket, an attorney representing Epstein’s cellmate, who is accused of attempting to strangle the alleged sex offender, called the admission “troubling”.

Barket wanted the tape so he could prove that his client did not attack Epstein, but in fact, tried to save him on the night in question.
