Brits Are Booking The Wrong Weekend For Vacations After Calendar Misprints

Traditionally, British citizens book their vacation getaways during the May 4th banking holiday. But this year the government decided to move the date, which is causing major headaches.

The plan was to mark the 75th anniversary of WWII ending in Europe on May 8th. However, the announcement of this celebration didn’t come until 30 million calendars and diaries came off the printing presses.

With demand for flights pushing prices up on the now non-existent holiday, travel experts believe most Brits aren’t aware of the change.

According to The Sun , the problem goes deeper than messing with the airlines. Music festivals and school schedules will now need to be updated.
