Voters seem fickle as the election season plugs along. Two months ago Bernie Sanders was behind in the polls, now he’s seeing a resurgence.

Following his heart attack in October, the Vermont Senator was trailing Elizabeth Warren. Now he’s in second place, 8 points behind frontrunner Joe Biden in RealClearPolitics’ numbers.

Democrat party insiders believe the turn around could lead Sanders to take the 2020 nomination this time, having lost to Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“I believe people should take him very seriously,” says Barack Obama’s former adviser Dan Pfeiffer, who rattles off a list of states Sanders could win in the primaries.
