The coronavirus outbreak in China has surpassed the SARS epidemic, and could have a greater overall impact, experts say.
The 2003 SARS outbreak saw 5,327 cases over a six-month period. China has already confirmed nearly 6,000 cases of coronavirus in just a few weeks.
While coronavirus so far isn’t quite as deadly as SARS, experts say the outbreak could have a similar long-term economic impact on the country.
