As a US Senator, Elizabeth Warren is required to remain in Washington DC and sit for the ongoing impeachment trial. But with the Iowa caucus just days away, she needed to send a surrogate to the campaign trail.

Bailey Warren, the Massachusetts Democrat’s golden retriever, has been making appearances instead, handling the duties of taking photos and kissing rally attendees.

The good boy even met with the 11-year-old who runs the 350,000-follower strong Twitter account “I’ve Pet That Dog.”

In the latest Monmouth University poll of Iowa voters released Wednesday, Bernie Sanders, who is also on the impeachment jury, is in second place behind Joe Biden. Warren sits neck-and-neck with Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
