Despite a federal bail-out, more and more U.S. farms are going bankrupt.

According to new data released this week, farm bankruptcies increased by 20% in 2019 and have risen in each of the last five years.

Nearly 600 farms filed for Chapter 12 bankruptcy last year, despite billions in agricultural assistance from the federal government.
