Pentagon Identifies 2 U.S. Marines Killed in Iraq Fight with ISIS

The Department of Defense have identified two U.S. Marine Raiders who were killed Sunday in Iraq.

Gunnery Sargent Diego D. Pongo, 34, and Captain Moises A. Navas, also 34, were killed in a gunfight with ISIS as they were accompanying Iraqi Security Forces in a mission to eliminate ISIS from north central Iraq. Both men had enlisted in the Marines in 2004.

After their killings, American commanders are reviewing how future missions will be conducted in Iraq and Syria, according to the New York Times .
