While its numbers pale by comparison to those in New York, Indiana is reporting its largest number of overnight coronavirus deaths since the pandemic began.
Forty-two residents died between Wednesday and Thursday, bringing the state’s death toll to 245, data released Thursday indicates. That’s an overnight increase of 20 percent.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases also rose from 5,943 to 6,351, marking a 7 percent increase, according to data.
