Two new NYU studies find that obesity, age and chronic illness leads to an increased risk of COVID-10 hospitalizations after studying infected patients between March 4th and April 4th.

After observing over 3,600 patients, one of the studies found that patients under 60 were at a higher risk of hospitalization if they were obese.

The studies also noted that those under 60 were twice as likely to need hospital care if they were obese, based on the BMI scale, according to the New York Post .
