If Dr Anthony Fauci finds himself out of work during this coronavirus pandemic, he likely won’t have to file for unemployment.

Upon hearing that the President tweeted a message over the weekend containing the hashtag #FireFauci, an Italian hospital has made the offer to put the infectious disease expert on their payroll.

Calling Fauci’s potential removal from the White House’s task force, “disastrous news not only for the United States, but for the whole international community,” Dr. Giuseppe Ippolito of Rome’s Lazzaro Spallanzani hospital asked his own country’s leaders to consider hiring Fauci.

“Our Institute would be honored to have Anthony as advisor and we hope that also the Italian Government and the Lazio Region could benefit (from) his great vision and expertise,” read Ippolito’s letter.
