Officials In Wisconsin Link Coronavirus Cases To In-Person Voting

Two weeks ago, with the coronavirus pandemic raging across the United States, Wisconsin primary voters were told they would need to cast their ballot in person.

Now at least 19 people have tested positive for COVID-19, including poll workers, which Milwaukee health officials trace directly back to that decision.

Speaking after news of the confirmed cases came out, State Senator Dave Hansen told reporters during a conference call, “I fear this is just the beginning.”

Tuesday marked the 14th day since the election was held. Experts say that is the time frame for symptoms of the infection to start showing.
