Continuing a bizarre trend, almost 900 employees at an Indiana pork processing plant have tested positive for COVID-19.

The latest meat plant outbreak has occurred at Tyson Foods in Logansport, state health officials say. “We were in good shape for a couple weeks and then, just within the couple weeks, it kind of blew up,” says Cass County Health Department administrator Serenity Alter. The plant has been shut down until further notice, Alter says.

The Logansport plant is the latest to close following a coronavirus outbreak, joining previously shuttered plants in Waterloo, Indiana; Perry, Iowa; Pasco, Washington; Dakota City, Nebraska; and several in Canada.
