Armed citizens walked the streets of Raleigh

They walked the streets of Raleigh over the weekend and even patronized businesses and restaurants – all while armed and protesting North Carolina’s stay-at-home order.

The News & Observer photographer Travis Long captured the moments in still shots that have since gone viral.

The tweeted images show one man inside a Subway, armed with two holstered revolvers and carrying what appears to be a rocket launcher on his back. Two of the individuals were wearing bandanna’s over their faces.

The approximately 11 people were part of a group identified as Blue Igloo which says the Saturday event wasn’t a protest but “a gathering to support our God given freedoms as Americans.”
